“I only use Petzl - reliability is key for me. BD carries its batteries at the back of the head; a bummer in your sleeping bag. I've seen P-Tecs warp in extreme cold (cold weather performence is always foremost in this Canuck's mind) and become impossible to turn on or off.

Petzl 2's are lithium compatible and you can leave them year-round in your car and they're ready to perform whenever and wherever you need them - just remeber to change the batteries every ten years.”
